Abstract

Technological change in an organization gives impacts towards its members. In educational institutions, for example, University Utara Malaysia (UUM), the introduction of a new technology affects students in many aspects. Wireless means the ability to transmit any type of data (text, video, picture or audio) through radio waves, infrared or microwaves instead of cables. As Wi-Fi is a fast growing technology, most the higher education institutions provide various internet facilities for their students to facilitate their learning processes. The researchers have studied the Wi-Fi usage to identify satisfaction towards UUM Wi-Fi Service Quality among students in Inasis Yayasan Al-Bukhary, UUM. The aim of this research paper is to look at the factors that contribute to the satisfaction level of UUM students toward UUM Wi-Fi network in Inasis Yayasan Al-Bukhary.and to measure the satisfaction level of UUM students. The data was collected by using quantitative method where the questionnaires were distributed to 60 students in Inasis Yayasan Al-Bukhary. The questionnaire was supplemented with research-related questions to achieve the objectives of the study. The questionnaire was divided into three sections, Part A is about respondent’s background, Part B is related to experience in using UUM Wi-Fi and Part C is asking about the level of satisfaction with UUM Wi-Fi, which were required to be completed by the respondents. The results of this study indicate that the differences signal strength affects the speed of Wi-Fi and the satisfaction level of students with the Internet WiFi provided in campus Inasis Yayasan Al-Bukhary, University Utara Malaysia
