Abstract

It has been a roller­coaster ride for Malaysia's financial and economic developments this year. Many fac­tors have contributed to these ups and downs — internal and external,economic and non­economic •— all of which have triggered jitters and cautious acts in the markets. These include Britain's vote to exit the Eu­ ropea Union(Brexit) and Donald Trump winning the United States presidential elections. Uncertainty and volatility appear to be, once again, the order of the day for the rest of 2016.
