Abstract

AGAINST the backdrop of a sluggish global economy and a significant drop in world crude oil prices at the end of last year, the Malaysian government announced the recalibration of Budget 2016 early this year, driven by two aims: to ensure the Malaysian economy remains on a strong growth trajectory and to protect the well-being of its citizens.
