Abstract
This paper presents a framework for studying the intention of Malaysian hotel managers to implement the Islamic Quality Standard for hotels (IQS). With the emergence of IQS by Universal Crescent Standard Centre (UCSC) and the development rally of Islamic hospitality in Malaysia, there are possibilities for hotel managers to implement the IQS in Malaysia.Based on the theory of planned behaviour (TPB), the conceptual framework proposed that hotel managers‘ attitude towards IHBV, subjective norms related to IHBV and perceived behavioural control of IHBV are related to the managers‘ behavioural intention to implement IQS in their organisation. The conceptual framework will be useful in finding the relationship between hotel manager‘s consideration of IHBV and their intention towards the implementation of IQS in Malaysia.
