Abstract

The growth of Web 2.0 technologies creates new method in learning process.The adaptation of Web 2.0 as learning tools is due to the well expose of the use of Web 2.0 technologies by students.This study attempts to see the usage of Web 2.0 for knowledge construction in learning process.The purpose of the study is to identify the use of Web 2.0 tools which contribute to the construction of knowledge.This research used questionnaire survey methodology.Based on the findings, the used of Web 2.0 tools assist in contribution to the knowledge in terms of facilitate communication and collaboration from different team, accessing knowledge such as online subject communities, experts and other educators, using lesson videos and clips online and lastly students used Web 2.0 tools in sharing similar interest and create communities around centre of interest.Thus, the used of Web 2.0 tools is a trend among students whereby they can comfortably communicate among their peers and easily get access to knowledge which facilitate them in learning environment.
