Abstract

Today, the vast changing of technology has made people across the globe connected through countless networks and computers, allowing millions of people to access and sharing information.This new generation of learners delivers virtual networking into the educational world and they are now living their lifestyles discussing knowledge from virtual networking medium.This study would explore the relationship between Knowledge Sharing Behaviour and Social Network Sites and how does it inflict on their knowledge sharing behaviour when online.This study also would enhance clearer understanding which factors contribute towards amplifying the knowledge in the dispersed network of social media. Following is the element that been investigated; knowledge collecting and knowledge donating and also one big five personality. This study has implications for both researcher and practitioner.The main focus group of student for this study would be student from public university and private university.This study will adopt a descriptive research and questionnaires will be used as the instruments for data collection.This study provides insights and broadens the understanding on factors that may influence the knowledge sharing behaviour.For practitioners, this study highlights the importance of knowledge sharing behaviour and the individual factors that resides within the individuals.It is hoped that this findings will produce guidelines for Higher Education Institutions (HEIS) in providing better learning infrastructure.
