Abstract
Gerakan Daya Wawasan is an effort to bring a paradigm shift for the Second Transformation of Rural Development.The changes aim to form an attractive village, advanced and profitable through the dynamic, creative and participatory community.Therefore, rural communities will be developed into a competitive society comparable to an urban, especially in terms of knowledge, strategic planning, problem solving ability and confidence to succeed.This paradigm shift is expected to become a catalyst to achieving comprehensive physical development towards developed nation by the year 2020.Gerakan Daya Wawasan is an important mechanism in taking the challenge of globalization.It also emphasizes the participation of the community in development activities.Towards this, rural community must change the mentality of subsidy to a competitive, viable and participative.
