Abstract

The teaching case is all about a national project that had been initiated by government to overcome the food supply problem at national level.This project had been assigned to one company by tender bidding and subsequently the company had received some fund to launch the project but the project failed to meet the requirement.Despites of that, the company still hold onto its aspiration of the development of a planned and sustainable Malaysian beef industry through the development of a fully integrated poultry farms and beef production facilities. Therefore, the company tries to figure out the possible way to overcome the financial constraint by any reasonable means.The case user is required to find the suitable solution to overcome the financial crisis of the company using Sukuk mechanism.In regards to that, case user need to analyze the nature of the company to find out the relevant Shariah contract to facilitate the suitable financial solution.The case user is expected to point the right Shariah contract since the nature of the company is clearly stated in company background.
