Abstract

Every people who drive business eager to mitigate the risk of their business for increasing their profit. Syariah scholars all over the world have no doubt on the legitimacy of equity based financing instruments, such as Mudharabah and Musyarakah financing, but it is sadly to observe that Mudharabah financing represents a smaller proportion of Islamic banks’ loan disbursement portfolio.The paper discusses the existing mudharabah financing model to uncover pitfalls inherent in it and suggests a mudharabah financing management model capable of mitigating the risk within such financing and thus offers the potential for more mudharabah financing to be awarded, specifically to the small firms.
