Abstract

Agricultural sector is one of the major sector in Malaysia that produce different type of dairy product or food.Malaysian government always take care in some food products, especially rice. Another that, at China agro-food supply chains made up by millions of smallholders and they are not good in structured or organized.So, China country try to help them enhance the outcome and overcome the problem.Malaysia and China show that their supply chain governance s are attempt to make sustained economic advance and industrialization are prospective to place on importance role to increase the agricultural product.Contract Farming (CF) is a process to breeding small scale farmers involve in high value of agricultural product marketplace and improve their product quality, enhancement and effort stableness to small scale farmer’s incomes. Malaysia not only the one who execute CF, China country also use CF.Even CF is one of the good structure to help smallholders in agriculture sector, but still have some issues and challenges that face by farmers.So in this paper, we need to comparison different of issues and challenges CF between Malaysia and China.The objective of this study is to analyze a comparison between Malaysia and China base on CF.The data was collect by using qualitative method which are research journal or literature and interview the farm. So questionnaire was been prepare to face to face interview with farmers. The results from select two different goat farms as example in Kedah, Malaysia are been identify to show that issues and challenges that had face.After that, a comparison between Malaysia and China will be describe.It is conclude that the benefit of CF in agriculture sector but sometime the issues was happen in two country although the issues they face are different. So, Malaysia and China countries need take focus on this issues and challenges to improve their agriculture sector. Since this is a preliminary study more empirical works need to be done to generalize the findings.
