Abstract
Purpose – This study aimed to identify the influence of Rogers’s environmental perspective factors with the adoption of courseware technology and examined the role of age as a moderator.Design – This study used a survey method. The population of this study consisted of 490 Form 1 Mathematics teachers of national secondary schools. The sample was selected by using cluster and random sampling. The questionnaire was adapted from other sources and contained 15 items. The questionnaire had a high acceptance level (the value of Alpha = 0.96).The quantitative data was analysed using descriptive statistics, correlation testing and multiple regression analysis. Based on the Table Level Acceptance by Moersch (1995), a mathematics teacher who taught Form 1 was at the application level. Findings – The findings showed that the environmental perspective factor had a significant influence on the level of courseware acceptance. The hierarchical multiple regression analysis showed that age as a moderator pemboleh ubah had a significant influence on the relationship between the environmental perspective factors and the level of courseware acceptance.Significance – The study also revealed that the interaction between teacher’s age and perspective environmental factors should be emphasized in the diffusion of innovation in order to increase the level of courseware acceptance
