Abstract
The aim of this research is to knowing the potential energy based on cattle waste.Biogas is a gas end products of digestion or anaerobic degradation (in environments without oxygen) by bacteria methanogen, and one of the waste generated from the activities of human life is a waste of effort to cattle farming consisting of feces, urine, gas and feedlot cattle, manure, sewage sludge, energy crops.Biogas is comprised primarily of methane and carbon dioxide. This research focus on biogas process and production, stages of formation biogas, classification of biogas digester, organic waste digestion process parameters (including on nitrogen and nitrogen carbon ratio, total solid content (TS), volatile solids (VS), biogas energy conversion, and digester biogas.By doing this research, it will explain the potential biogas energy derived from farm waste by comparison the use of fossil energy, we can reduce or replace the use of fossil energy. In addition, this research is also useful to maximize the benefits of cow manure waste and clean up the environment as well as the smell of cow manure.Alternative energy can provide a solution for the Indonesia remote areas that lack of electricity caused by the lack of energy sources.
