Abstract

Technological advance has contributed greatly to the acceleration of human progress in the past several centuries. No individual, organization, business or government can ignore it. The objective of present study is to evaluate that, is there a definite relationship between use of technology advancement and human development in the State. The study develops an index (district-wise) of technological achievement and human development. The paper comes out with the result that, the technological achievement level and the level of human development of the State is very low. Study also disclosed the fact that there is a positive degree of moderate correlation (0.604) between human development and technology achievement, there by draws the attention towards the needs to accelerate the pace of technology adaptation in the State.
