Abstract

Entrepreneurship has been seen as one of the major contributor a country's economy and one way of solving unemployment issues. Numerous studies have found the link between perception and intention towards entrepreneurship and the effect that is have on the involvement of students in entrepreneurship activities. This study intended to explore university students' attitudes and perception towards entrepreneurship as well as the factors that the students viewed as barriers for them to become entrepreneurs. Results showed that these students have positive attitudes towards entrepreneurship and they also are keen to start up their own businesses. However, there are also several factors that hinder them from getting involved in such activities.
