Abstract
Due to the rapid penetration of mobile phone and the growing popularity of smartphones, tremendous opportunity and several challenges have created for conventional payment systems which more and more consumer is going to use mobile devices and electronic commerce (e-commerce) will turn into mobile commerce (m-commerce) in the future. This study aims to determine the factors (independent variables) effect the student’s intention to use the mobile payment in UUM Campus. Quantitative approach by means of questionnaire-based survey is adopted. The 377 respondents are targeted, and data collected through online. In addition to descriptive analysis, reliability test and multiple regression analysis are utilized to perform test of association and difference. The findings show that variables performance expectancy, effort expectancy, perceived security, social influence, facilities have a positive and strong relationship with the student’s intention to use mobile payment, yet social influence and the facilities are insignificant effect on student’s intention to use mobile payment.
