Abstract

Since the manufacturing of food and beverages is a very pivotal sector in Malaysia, thus many efforts have been done to ensure the food and beverage manufacturer has a better livelihood in this sector. Furthermore, productivity growth in Malaysia is closely related to the labor force and level of technology. Hence, this study is to investigate all possible factors affecting a company’s productivity and to determine the strategies to improve the company’s productivity. The qualitative method in which interviews were conducted on a food and beverage manufacturer. The results from the analysis showed that there are several factors affect company productivity. These factors are categorized into two major categories which are internal and external. From the findings, several strategies were implemented by the company to improve productivity. This study suggests some recommendations that should be considered for future research.
