Abstract

Nowadays, plastic has been used widely. We can see people throw plastic everywhere and it causes serious environment pollution. The main reason is because plastic cannot be decomposed by microorganisms. A large quantity of plastic have been used, environment has polluted badly. Considering the negative impact of plastic consuming, bioplastic is being invented. Bioplastic is environmentally friendly, it can be decomposed naturally. Therefore, this project is to study how to use organic waste which is banana peel to produce the bioplastic that can replace conventional plastic and estimate the cost. Design of Experiment (DoE) will be used in this project to conduct a few experiments. Through the trial, it results that banana peel can be the key ingredients to produce bioplastic, which can use in future. This paper discusses the advantages of bioplastic, the importance of bioplastic, and the impacts of bioplastic on the environment.
