Abstract

Malaysia is pleasant by plenty of biomass resources that can possibly be consumed as a supply of electricity production. One of them is pineapple waste such leaves, crown, and peels. Annually about 9857.6 tonnes of pineapple waste is left in the pineapple production. Towards year 2020 this value is forecasted to increase per year due to emerging technology development in agriculture industries. Pineapple waste can potentially be used as feedstock fuel for electricity generation in Malaysia. Pineapple waste based power generation not simply might resolve the difficult of eliminating waste from pineapple plantation without open burning, but furthermore might decrease GHG emission that donate to climate change, acidification, and amongst another environment impact. Pineapple waste power generation would emit a plantation 227 kg CO2-EQ, lorry transportation 1360 kg CO2-Eq, milling 325 kg CO2-EQ, truck transportation 15.9 kg CO2-EQ and Power plant 662 kg CO2-EQ.. Existence an emission in every stage of life cycle assessment for pineapple production
