Today business management has entered the era of networking competition which moves the competition from local to global business environments and from company against company to supply chain against supply chain.ERP system has become one of the main pre-requisites and a strong and integrated IT infrastructure for many companies enabling them to compete in the local and global marketplace, and to gain a competitive advantage in the global economy particularly with the current E-business era. ERP system is considered as the backbone for E-business as well as for the whole supply chain, particularly for those companies that undertake online business transactions.Meanwhile, many companies are still reluctant to implement ERP system, mainly in the Asian countries. This research supports the significant relationship between ERP system's functionality and supply chain management performance in Malaysian manufacturing companies.
