Abstract
KUALA LUMPUR: Women Family and Community Development Minister Datuk Seri Shahrizat Abdul Jalil yesterday was honoured by the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) and World Family Organization WFO with the UNECOSOC/WFO Family Award. The ministry in a statement said the award was given in recognition of Shahrizat's commitment to the implementation of public policies for the benefit of women and families and strengthening regional cooperation to improve educational outcomes.
