Abstract

Fire may occur in the building when a heat source comes in contact with a combustible material in the presence of oxygen, sometimes as quickly as within minutes.Therefore, the objectives of this research were to analyze the level of awareness of secondary boarding school student on the roles and the ability secondary boarding school student on the application of fire fighting system at school.This research was conducted among secondary boarding school student at Form 4 and Form 5 in Seremban, Negeri Sembilan. The data for this paper was collected by using questionnaires. Subsequently, the data obtained was analyzed by using SPSS and Microsoft Excel.The result from the survey indicates that, the secondary boarding school students posed low level of awareness about the fire fighting system at school and they have better ability on the application of passive system as compared to active system.
