Abstract

MAS Ermieyati Samsudin was heading for a comfortable victory in the race for Puteri Umno chief yesterday.At press time,the Malacca Puteri Umno chief secured votes from 98 divisions out of the total 191 divisions.Her contender, Petaling Jaya Selatan Puteri chief Jamilah Hanim Othman, an entrepreneur, managed to garner votes from 26 divisions,including her own. The contest was anything but as intense as the previous one. In 2009, Datuk Rosnah Abdul Rashid Shirlin won the wing's top post with a majority of only six votes in a six-cornered fight.
