Abstract

Poultry industry is one of the important industry in the world. Poultry producer around the world concerned about the industry growth.Poultry meat production in Asia is expected to rise due to the increasing in consumption. Malaysia also showed the same scenario.The industry became one of the important industry which is it able to contribute to Malaysian GDP.Besides, it be a staple food in Malaysia since it is the cheapest and safe source of meat and protein.Therefore, the production of poultry meat also has increased every year and the demand is expected to increase until the year 2020.The industry has capability and able to grow further.However, poultry producer will face with various challenging issues in the changing and uncertainty environment which can increase risk to sustain and maintain the farm.Disease, changing weather and poultry feed are possible challenging issues in the industry.Thus, in order to improve sustainability of poultry meat production, this conceptual paper will examines the relationship between dynamic capabilities and business performance in context of Malaysian poultry industry with managerial skill as a moderating variable.Dynamic Capability View is used in this study to describe the importance of the resources towards performance in changing environment.Finally, the outcomes of the study should improve government and non-government organization‟s efforts in usage of all the available resources optimally in order to improve the industry performance.
