Abstract

This study aims to examine the effects of transformational leadership and emotional intelligence on organizational citizenship behavior. Data was collected on a sample of 129 nurses employed in public hospitals in Malaysia. Regression results showed that transformational leadership had a direct and positive effect on citizenship behavior (OCB-I and OCB-C). Theoretical and managerial implications are given.
