Abstract

This paper discusses some of the development and challenges of total quality management (TQM) theory and practices. Basically, the paper discusses on the issues of defining TQM, provide the common key TQM factors, studies on TQM and organisational performance and the failures of implementing TQM in organisations. Based on these development and challenges, the paper suggests some of the issues that need to be considered for future research and practice on TQM so as to remain relevant in the future.
