This case study is conducted to identify the implementation of RFID in Company XYZ, and its function as a performance indicator among postmen. The other objective is to check the awareness of RFID function among logistic staff (postmen). The data is acquired based on interview source with a few key important person in Company XYZ. Based on data collection shows that RFID has been implemented only on four main cities in Sabah but in the rural areas, the manual system known as ‘Patel’ is still in used. It is due to the expensive cost of RFID scanner and because it is still considered as not a major effect to the overall delivery system in their operation. However, Company XYZ have a future plan to implement a more widely and economical technology by using smartphones as RFID scanner. Interview results shows that majority of postman in Company XYZ of Kota Kinabalu branch knows what is RFID scanner and its function, hence it can be concluded that their staff are aware of its importance in the logistic operation.
