In recent years, various institutions have adopted the use of QR (Quick Response) Code for encoding the information such as URLs that can be read by any electronic devices. The study was conducted to determine the acceptability of QR Code and factor affects the acceptance, innovative platform as an attendance monitoring system. The sampling was used in the study involving of MOT students who were exposed to the attendance monitoring system during the early years of 2019. Descriptive data analysis was used in the study with the standardized survey questionnaire intended for evaluating the acceptance level and factor affect the acceptance. This paper provides the results of a survey study of UUM students’ acceptability regarding the use of QR codes. The findings indicate that the purpose of usage acceptability is significantly related to QR code usage acceptability factors. The views of the participants imply that QR code as attendance checker was saving time, cost-effective, innovative, fast and readable codes. Hence, this study is geared towards evidence-based practice using this type of innovation. Besides, this study that will serve as a preference towards continuous improvement and successful adaptation of the QR code that is essential in modifying and simplifying the checking of attendance of students in the class.
