It is important in developing the country's agro-food industry, has the bright potential in increasing the country's fruit export productivity as well as the entrepreneurs and durian farmer’s income in Malaysia. This study uses a survey method by exploiting qualitative and quantitative data. Researchers took the initiative to collect primary data using face-to-face questionnaires to obtain raw data in a more accurate and original way. Local residents who cultivate durian farms receive relatively high income returns. The study also found that the durian industry is important in increasing the income of rural residents. However, the role of local authorities is still less effective in helping farmers. In addition, the association of durian traders should play an important role in helping growers to market their products. Local authorities, the government, the private sector and agencies involved should play a more serious role in helping small durian farmers in Batu Kurau to drive the growth of local agro-food
