Abstract
The purpose of this study is to investigate the level of understanding about Fourth Industrial Revolution (IR 4.0) among Technology Management students in UUM. Industrial Revolution 4.0 is the fourth major industrial era since the initial Industrial Revolution of the 18th century. It is characterized by a fusion of technologies that is blurring the lines between the physical, digital and biological spheres, collectively referred to as cyber-physical systems. It is marked by emerging technology breakthroughs in a number of fields, including big data, Autonomous robots, System integration, Internet of things, Addictive manufacturing and Cloud computing. The Fourth Industrial Revolution builds on the Digital Revolution, representing new ways in which technology becomes embedded within societies and even the human body. Industrial Revolution are that it enabled production of goods on a scale that was unprecedented in human history, that it elevated many people's standard of living, and that it expanded the economies of many nations. This study will include all the students of Technology Management in University Utara Malaysia. The survey methods are conducted by using questionnaire to the students through face to face communication for the data collection. This research will be conduct in quantitative method by using descriptive analysis techniques. This study from this research, we are able to identify the level of understanding about Fourth Industrial Revolution (IR 4.0) among Technology Management student in UUM. It can be concluding as the understanding must be created among students of Technology Management for their future working environment. In order for that students should know about, the elements, benefits, challenges and the important of IR4. The level of understanding of IR 4.0 is made up of advanced technologies. The study shows majority students are aware and understand of this existence of this component, elements, benefits, challenges and the important of IR4 and the importance of it needs to be marked as significant in Industrial Revolution 4.0.
