Abstract
This paper examines the role of women politicians in realising gender responsive education budget in the Bone Regency. This research used a qualitative approach, with descriptive data analysis. The research data consisted of primary data and secondary data, where primary data were obtained directly from informants in the field, consisting of members of the House of Representatives and Heads of Women Department of Bone Regency. Meanwhile, secondary data were obtained through tracing relevant important documents. The results showed that the role of women politicians in realising gender responsive education budget in the Bone Regency can be considered to be in the good category. Programmes that use gender responsive education budgets can take various forms, such as workshops, training, and etc., with the aim to equally provide knowledge and life-skills for all the people in the Bone Regency. The impact can help the community to create home industries, increase economic independence, and contribute positively in the process of strengthening the capacity in their respective regions. This activity also proves that men and women have the same potential in obtaining education without discrimination.
