Abstract
Student’s academic performance is highly viewed as one of the component to be measured on university students to qualify themselves in the job market. Nevertheless, the students need to cater both academic and nonacademic activities to achieve the desired expectation from their future employer. Generally, academic performance is measured in terms of grades; courses and assignments which includes past examinations and programmatic evaluations such as extra-curricular activities. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to examine the factors that influence university students’ academic performance using Structural Equation Modelling approach. After conducting a factor analysis, five factors were identified. The factors are lecturer’s assistance and motivation, self-determination, student’s habit, universities facilities and services, and parents and friends’ support. Finally, structural model was developed and has shown relationships between these five factors
