Abstract

The purpose of the paper aims to evaluate the awareness of green building in Malaysia and the importance of green building application to the public. Green building integrates modern society become more efficiently and healthy. Designers, developers and builders consider alternative resource such as renewal energy and green technology to construct new building or convert existing buildings into green building. The quality and availability, incentive, education and government policy and regulation of implementation of green are recommended. The hypothesis tested was that the implementation of green technology will be beneficial in terms of cost and benefit for improvement of environment in Malaysia. Validity and reliability data were considered to increase the quality of the data. The results show that there is positive significant relationship between awareness level and the efficiency of building green practice in Malaysia. Therefore, the motivation and government support are crucial to increase the awareness level of the importance of green building development in Malaysia.
