Abstract

Globally, sustainable development goals (SDGs) have increased significant importance as a result of the uncertain environmental and economic conditions that require the attention of researchers. Sustainability is a component of corporate governance, which traditionally addresses ethical values, accountability, and transparency to reduce risk, corruption, and mismanagement. Sustainability is critical to a company's long-term performance. However, questions remain about whether the current legal framework is adequate for addressing environmental protection and the SOGs agenda. The purpose of this paper is to examine the impact of environmental and social responsibilities, as well as corporate governance, on the achievement of SOGs by Malaysian companies.
